During the Art Basel in Miami Beach, Sennheiser is announcing its exclusive cooperation with top DJ Martin Solveig. For the first time, Solveig will be presenting his new song “Places”. Plus, sound artist Nik Nowak will put his innovative art on display.

Innovative sound art meets legendary sound.

A visit to the Sennheiser lounge at Art Basel in Miami Beach will provide a unique opportunity to experience selected art and sound installations while trying out the world’s best audio technology. On 29 November, renowned DJ Martin Solveig will premiere his new song “Places” before a live audience. The song can be listened to later in the Future Sound Cube in the Sennheiser Lounge at Art Basel. The DJ recorded the melodic club track together with the Norwegian singer Ina Wroldsen. “It’s an experiment, something completely different. That’s always very exciting”, says Solveig.

„It gives me an opportunity to re-mix my sound.“

After “More Than a Friend” by the successful German DJ Robin Schulz, Solveig is now the second renowned DJ working closely with Sennheiser. Thanks to Sennheiser technology, he has been able to explore new, unknown paths. “It provides an opportunity to re-mix my sound”, Solveig says.

“The Sound Tank meets Bass Mekanik”

Sennheiser is also presenting the innovative sound art of Berlin-based artist Nik Nowak. For the first time, he will be showing his “Sound Tank” to an American audience. Three subwoofers, six mid-bass speakers and four tweeters help him produce his full and powerful sound. The performance will take place on 30 November in the popular Gramps club in the Wynwood Arts District. For the American premiere of his “Sound Tank”, Nik Nowak convened with Miami bass legend Neil Case (aka Bass Mekanik), the artist Billy E and his long-time collaborator, the sound artist Moritz Stumm, to develop an exclusive performance.

The Future Sound Cube offers visitors the ultimate Sound Experience

Visitors to Art Basel will have the opportunity to discover two trailblazing technologies at the Sennheiser lounge. At Art Talk, sound artist Nik Nowak will be speaking about his vision for the music of tomorrow.

The jury for the Future Audio Artist Program will be presenting the artists who will benefit from Sennheiser sponsorship over the next several months. To help these sound artists push the limits of what’s possible, they will receive Sennheiser equipment and will be able to present their sound art at future Sennheiser Lounges at Art Basel.

During an Art Talk in the Sennheiser lounge in Miami Beach, moderator Andreas Tölke will also be speaking with the members of the Future Audio Artist Program jury about the role of art and music in society. Nik Nowak will be speaking about his performance in Gramps, his approach to art and his vision for the future of audio.
