Information on the Processing of Personal Data

in Connection with

„Just Follow Me!“ Online Seminars and Demos

 

“Just Follow Me!” (Automated Camera Preset Recall) online seminars are offered to you by Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG (hereinafter referred to as “Sennheiser”) and QSC EMEA GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “QSC”).

In connection with the seminars, Sennheiser and QSC (together referred to as “we”) collect and process participants’ (data subjects’) personal data. You can also request a private demo by either of us or by both Sennheiser and QSC.

To the extent Sennheiser and QSC jointly determine the purposes and means of the data processing operations, we act as joint controllers. Therefore, subject to Art. 26 of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as the “GDPR”), we entered into an agreement outlining our respective roles and data protection obligations.

As required by Art. 13 and Art. 26 (2) of the GDPR, we are providing you with the below information on the processing of your personal data.

Sennheiser and QSC work together to keep your data safe and ensure you can exercise your rights effectively.

Depending on the internal allocation of responsibilities between us for different data processing operations, we designated either a Sennheiser or QSC as the point of contact for queries in connection with the processing of your personal data (please refer to Section 3).

To the extent Sennheiser or QSC process personal data as independent controllers (e.g. when managing the contact details and sending marketing communications), please contact the respective controller. 

3.1 Demo Request – Booking a private Session with Us

On the landing page for the joint Sennheiser and QSC project, you have the option to book a private demo session with the QSC or/and Sennheiser team.

To be able to process your booking request and deliver the demo (legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 b) or f) GDPR depending on whether you request a demo in your private capacity or on behalf of your company), we ask you to fill out the booking form. The required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

By filling out optional fields, you consent that we can process your data to customize the demo for your needs (legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 a) GDPR).

Unless you indicate in your request that you wish your session to be conducted exclusively by Sennheiser team, Sennheiser shares the details you provided with QSC.

We will keep your data as long as required to conduct the demo, process possible follow-up queries and generate aggregated insights about the target user group. Afterwards, the data will be deleted unless you provided your consent to receive our news and marketing communications.


3.2 Online Seminar Participant Registration

On the landing page for our joint project, you can follow the link to the registration page. The registration page is provided by a third party video conference provider (Zoom Video Communications, Inc.).

To be able to provide the seminar, we collect the following participant data (Art. 6 Para. 1 b) or f) GDPR depending on whether you partake in your private capacity or on behalf of your company):

  • First name and last name,*
  • Email address,*
  • Country/Region,*
  • City,*
  • Phone number,
  • Industry sector,*
  • Organization,*
  • Job title.

The required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

By filling out optional fields, you agree that we can process your data to better customize the seminar for your needs (legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 a) GDPR).

We will keep your data as long as required to conduct the seminar, process possible follow-up queries and generate aggregated insights about the target user group. Afterwards, the data will be deleted unless you provided your consent to receive our news and marketing communications.

3.3 Seminar Participation

The seminars will be held exclusively online using the video conferencing solution "Zoom" (third party provider: Zoom Video Communications, Inc; 55 Almaden Blvd, Suite 600, San Jose, CA 95113, USA).

To participate, your will need a PC/laptop or mobile device with an internet connection and connected audio (speakers/headphones). It is not necessary to install the Zoom app or register a Zoom account. You can join via your browser. No microphone or webcam are required for your participation.

No video and audio data of the participants will be processed.

Participants cannot see the username of other participants.

To ensure the stability and security of the video conference tool and the respective IT systems (legal basis Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR), we can process certain metadata generated when you are using "Zoom."

This involves the processing of especially the following data:

  • System data: device ID (UDID), device type, operating system, app version, connection type.
  • Approximate location (without exact localization) for the purpose of establishing a connection to the server.
  • Modalities of use, such as use of VoIP or joining by phone, login in the app or in the browser
  • Duration of the online session, login and logout time, session name, chat status.

The third party provider of "Zoom" receives access to your data in order to ensure the functionality of the tool for us. Because Zoom Video Communications, Inc. is based in the USA, processing takes place outside the European Economic Area (hereinafter referred to as “EAA”). In order to ensure the level of protection of your data is not undermined when it is transferred to a third country, Sennheiser has concluded a data processing agreement with Zoom Video Communications, Inc. that includes EU standard contractual clauses. In addition, appropriate technical and organizational measures have been taken to ensure the level of security of the data.

3.4 Subscription to News and Marketing Information

When booking a demo session or registering for a seminar, you have the option to subscribe to either one or both Sennheiser’s and QSC’s news and marketing information by checking the corresponding box(es).

We will share our subscribers’ details with our respective resellers and partner companies in the regions where Sennheiser and QSC respectively have no direct representation/presence. This will include specifically recipients in market development regions (Middle East, Russia, India) and country partners (Italy, Spain, Greece, Czechia, Slovakia, Cyprus, Hungary, Iceland, Poland, South Africa, Ukraine, Moldova, Israel, Turkey).

Subscribed users will receive information about Sennheiser’s and/or QSC’s respective products, services, software updates, news, current offers, campaigns, events, competitions and customer surveys from us and our respective resellers and company partners.

Please note that recipients processing your data in countries outside of the EEA are subject to legal requirements that differ from the GDPR and possibly do not guarantee an equivalent level of personal data protection and privacy. The European Commission can attest a country outside the EEA an adequate level of protection, in which case your data is treated to the standards comparable to those within the EEA. In the absence of an adequacy decision and appropriate safeguards in other countries there is a risk you might not be able to enforce the data protection rights afforded to you by the GDPR. If you are not willing to accept this risk, please do not consent to the processing of your data for the purposes of marketing communications.

Thesubscription is voluntary, and the data processing including specifically the sharing of data with our resellers and partner companies is based on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 a) GDPR). As part of the secure double opt-in process, Sennheiser will send you a confirmation email requesting to verify your email address. You will receive no news and marketing information prior to confirming your subscription.

Sennheiser will communicate to QSC the users that subscribed to QSC’s marketing communications and share the contact details they provided.

You can revoke your consent and unsubscribe from the news and marketing communications for the future at any time by clicking on the link provided in the emails you receive from us. You can also contact Sennheiser or QSC under the contact details provided above this purpose.

Please note that Sennheiser and QSC as well as their respective resellers/partner companies act as independent controllers after the subscription is finalized, including especially managing your contact details and sending their respective marketing communications.

4. Further Information

During your visit of the landing and registration page, we and the third party provider (Zoom Video Communications, Inc; 55 Almaden Blvd, Suite 600, San Jose, CA 95113, USA) may automatically collect metadata such as your time of visit and browser type (so called server logfiles). This data does not allow us to directly identify you and is required for the proper content display and prevention of unauthorized access attempts (Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR).
